HYALURONIC-ACID AND GUM-REGENERATION
As in many countries around the world gum recession is one of our biggest challenges today. This problem can originate in many causes. Using a hard bristled toothbrush or a false technique can lead to mechanical trauma, any kind of inflammation whether it is of local or systemic origin can lead to a reactive recession of the gums and with time loosening of the teeth.
At our office we use a special hyaluronic-acid to help the gum and the soft tissues regenerate and obtain a healthy firm consistency and reattachment to the neck of the teeth.
This type of acid is normally find in the human body in joints and serves as a lubricant to ease their movement. But with age the levels of hyaluronic-acid decrease and tissues become more loose and less elastic.
The acid used for medical purposes is a sterile product that derives from poultry tissues and is thereby natural but not autogenous.
